This kitchen renovation project in Newhaven, Edinburgh, showcases how professional spray painting and smart material choices can dramatically transform a space—without the high cost of a full replacement.
Our client initially received a quote from Wickes for a complete kitchen replacement, priced at around £20,000. Instead, we proposed a comprehensive kitchen refurbishment and spray painting solution at just £6,000, allowing the client to save a staggering £14,000 while still achieving a high-end finish.
Rather than removing and replacing perfectly functional units, we restored and resprayed the existing kitchen cabinets and refinished the worktops with our specialist coatings.
Jack worked closely with the client to guide her through colour and finish selections, ensuring the kitchen reflected both her personal style and the timeless quality she wanted to achieve.
The kitchen splashbacks were upgraded using classic white Metro tiles, grouted in light grey to emphasise the brick-effect layout and give it a modern, clean aesthetic. For the floors, we recommended a Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) solution due to its durability, water resistance, and realistic wood effect.
Flooring: Luxury Rigid Core Gingerbread Oak Plank – a warm tone that beautifully tied in with both the refurbished kitchen and the existing timber floors throughout the flat.
Thanks to the money saved on the kitchen renovation, the client extended the project to include full interior painting and decorating across the property. This was especially important after a full electrical rewire, which left the walls in need of proper repair and preparation.
Every surface was repaired, filled, and professionally prepared, ensuring the final paintwork was smooth, crisp, and long-lasting.
