As a trusted subcontractor for a respected fit-out company based in Glasgow, we had the privilege of contributing to the refurbishment of a prestigious hotel located in the heart of Edinburgh – Cheval The Edinburgh Grand.

Our responsibility was to carry out the staining and lacquering of brand-new, solid oak doors. We received all the necessary materials directly from the client, including a custom-coloured stain selected to perfectly complement the hotel’s interior design scheme, as well as a premium-quality topcoat lacquer to ensure a durable and flawless finish. The doors and accompanying oak frames were delivered to our workshop in batches, allowing us to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Each door underwent a meticulous preparation process before being spray-finished to achieve a consistent, professional standard. Once completed, the finished doors and frames were carefully transported and installed at the hotel, ensuring they arrived in pristine condition.

In addition to the oak doors, we were also commissioned to work on a variety of other key elements within the project. This included refinishing bespoke furniture pieces such as the main reception desk and several other custom-made fittings, all crafted to the same exact standards.
