This beautiful, character-filled kitchen in Blackford, Edinburgh, needed a more detailed restoration than a typical modern laminate kitchen.
Due to its age, we carried out extensive sanding and repair work, meticulously restoring original mouldings and detailing to preserve the kitchen’s authentic charm.
We also updated the cabinetry by fitting new gold handles, immediately giving the space a fresher and more refined appearance.
The transformation was remarkable — the client could hardly believe their 30-year-old kitchen could look so modern, elegant, and full of life again.
The solid wood worktops required particular care. Every joint and edge was carefully sanded to perfection, ensuring a flawless surface.
We then applied a highly realistic granite-effect coating, finished with multiple layers of protective sealant.
The result? Worktops that not only look like real granite but also offer outstanding durability and a luxurious finish — all without the cost and disruption of replacing them.
Impressed with the kitchen’s transformation, the client commissioned us to repaint the entire room.
We refreshed the ceilings, walls, and all woodwork, carefully repairing any damaged areas beforehand to ensure a pristine result.
