We recently completed a stylish and budget-friendly kitchen facelift in Craigcrook, Edinburgh, transforming a tired kitchen into a bright, elegant space through high-quality respraying, new worktops, updated tiling, and elegant finishing touches. The existing kitchen units were in good structural condition, making them ideal for restoration rather than replacement. We professionally spray-painted the cabinets in Farrow & Ball No. 25 Pigeon, finished with a subtle 10% gloss sheen to maintain a refined, modern aesthetic.
The green-and-gold colour pairing created a timeless, high-end look while staying within a modest budget—an ideal solution for homeowners seeking to refresh without full renovation.
As part of the makeover, we removed the outdated worktop and installed a durable wood-effect laminate worktop. This material offers both warmth and practicality, providing the appearance of real wood with easier maintenance and greater resistance to wear and stains.
Our team guided the client through colour and texture options to ensure the worktop harmonised perfectly with the cabinet finish and overall kitchen palette.
To elevate the space and improve light reflection, we installed white Metro-style wall tiles with clean lines and light grout. Before installation, our tiler removed the old tiles, made necessary wall repairs, and applied the new tiles with precision.
This bright, classic choice visually expanded the space and paired beautifully with the new worktop and painted cabinetry.
Once the cabinetry was fully restored and painted, we helped the client select modern brass handles to complete the look. We adjusted the existing cabinet doors to accommodate the new fittings and installed the hardware with attention to detail—ensuring perfect alignment and function.
