For this project, the client delivered a set of six-panel solid oak internal doors to our workshop. All hinges and handles had been removed by the client in advance, allowing us to work on clean, bare surfaces.

Although the doors were in good overall condition, we paid special attention to the panel join lines. These were carefully filled with a flexible, high-quality filler to eliminate visible black gaps and prevent future cracking along the joints. This step ensures a smooth, seamless appearance once painted.

The rest of the process followed our standard refinishing procedure: full sanding and degreasing, followed by one coat of adhesion primer and two coats of durable PU top coat paint.

The final result came out beautifully – the finish is smooth and even, while the natural wood grain of the oak remains subtly visible through the paint, adding warmth and character to the overall look.
