This project involved the full restoration of a wooden kitchen worktop at a property on Priestfield Road, Edinburgh.

We began with deep sanding to remove old finishes, surface damage, and signs of wear. Areas affected by black mould were thoroughly cleaned and treated. In the most heavily damaged section around the sink, we replaced a portion of the worktop to ensure structural integrity and a seamless appearance.

Once the new and existing sections were fully prepped, the surface was stained to match the original tone and highlight the wood grain. Several coats of Danish oil were then applied to protect the finish and enhance the natural beauty of the timber.

The result is a hygienic, restored, and visually cohesive worktop – ready to serve for years to come.
