How Does the Spray Painting Furniture Process Work?
Step 1
Sanding
One of the first things we do is sand your door – this stage is especially important as we want a finish that’s going to last. By using a fine sandpaper on your doors, we create a textured surface for the paint to stick to, meaning the job will last much longer.
Step 2
Cleaning
After sanding, we clean the doors. We use a degreaser to remove the debris and any dirt or grime buildup from the sanding process. Before moving on we brush the doors down and wipe them clean before moving on to the next stage.
Step 3
Protecting
Masking tape is a door spray painter’s best friend and we use it when we need to protect surfaces that aren’t going to be painted. Once we mask the elements that can’t be removed (e.g. door handles or glass panels) the door is ready for painting.
